Qualification for Hall of Fame Nominations

Prairie has a diverse and successful alumni community, and the Hall of Fame categories seek to honor those who have lived out the Prairie mission since graduation. Below you will find the qualifications for an alum to be considered as a Hall of Fame nominee:

All nominees must be 10 years post-graduation or more.

Scholar

• Prairie graduate who has excelled as a professional in academia (K-12 and higher ed) or a field related to academia 

Artist 

• Prairie graduate who continues to create as a means of self-expression, as a profession or passion
• Prairie faculty member who demonstrated significant impact on the arts during their tenure at Prairie

Athlete

• Prairie graduate who excelled in athletics at Prairie and beyond
• Prairie coach or administrator who demonstrated significant impact on athletics during their tenure at Prairie

Leader

• Prairie graduate who has demonstrated remarkable leadership in business,  government, or volunteering
• Has overcome significant obstacles to become a success in the broadest definition of the word

The committee, composed of Prairie alumni, faculty and former faculty, will vote to induct individuals annually. Nominees not selected for awards will remain on the selection list for review in future years. Recipients will be announced in January, and will be celebrated during Prairie’s Alumni Weekend festivities.
